The Digi Awards

This year the East and West Wings of South Hornby School are entering the Digi Awards. The Digi Awards is where you enter a digital presentation to do with a them. Three students from the West Wing (Kahu, Nadia and Sean) were invited to the judges, Core Education, to help decide on the theme. Their idea, Everyday Heroes, won!
My best mate Jordan and I are doing Digital Art, which is one of the categories. They are:

- Music Video (A music video)
- Movie Making (an iMovie)
- Digital Art (Photostory or photograph)
- Maker Creator (coding to create a game, animation, etc.)
- Ripple Effect (Inspiring words in a video to inspire others)

So we are making a Photostory, which is a string of photos put together into one short movie. They can be enhanced by text or voice over, and maybe even special effects like speech bubbles and cool stuff like that. It is about a young girl named Samantha and her family who are going through poverty. Natasha helps her out by donating food, and eventually doing a fundraiser to raise money for poverty.
Jordan and I have been working very hard on it and it is due in Friday.
We have been assigned to write a blurb to write on the registration form.

Jordan and I are nearly ready to send it in. Wish us luck!

- Jaime =)
